HANDS HEALTH INSURANCE AWARENESS PROGRAM: MMAKU COMMUNITIES WELCOMES THE SCHEME, LAUDS HON. ANTHONY NWANKWO FOR THE WORTHY INITIATIVE

The train of Hon. Anthony Nwankwo Development Scheme( HANDS) health insurance awareness programme with the National Health lnsurance Authority ( NHIA) across Awgu South communities today, 11th of August, 2023, visited the three(3) autonomous communities in Mmaku Kingdom to inform and educate the people on the numerous economic  benefit of the social Health lnsurance scheme and the provisions that Hon. Anthony Nwankwo has made to have them enjoy  the scheme. 

The first port of call was Mmaku Ugwu Autonomous Community.  The awareness programme which took place at the Community Health Center witnessed a good turn out. The NHlA personnels took their time through lecture, questions and answer sessions to educate the people on the programme packages, process of registration and the various accredited health facilities within their localities to access the programm.

The people through their president general, ably represented thy the community general secretary expressed their appreciation to Hon. Anthony Nwankwo for such a worthy initiative stating that though he is barely two month in office, he has started bringing dividend of good representation to the people. 

At Mmaku Agbo Autonomous Community, the team was well received by the president general of the community and some elders of the land at the community square. The NHIA officials in their professional manner,  replicated their teaching on the benefits of the insurance scheme to the people. It was evident through the peoples response that the scheme was well received as they made express request to become partakers. At the end, the President general and some leaders of the community gave their appreciation to Hon. Anthony Nwankwo for his thoughtful disposition towards their health through his introduction of the  health insurance scheme. They also prayed for his continued success in office.

Afterward, the train moved to Agunese Mmaku Autonomous community to also preach the good news of the scheme to the people. The team was well received by the Prime minister and President General of the Community at the Mmaku Heath Center. There, the NHIA team yet again took their time to gave elaborate explanation on the scheme and all the  benefits therein.The acceptance of the scheme was well  expressed  through the peoples eagerness to get registered. 

The president general and the community prime mister in their various  closing remark showered  praises on Hon.Anthony Nwankwo for his pragmatic and altruistic moves while describing him as a leader who has the people at heart. 

Meanwhile, the Director general of Hon. Anthony Nwankwo Campaign Organisation, Hon.Oliver ChukwuObasi who represented him in the movement appreciated the people of the three autonomous communities for their support for Hon.Anthony Nwankwo. He gave them the assurance that Hon. Anthony Nwankwo will continue to attract worthy programmes to them beyond the health insurance scheme  as he urged them to continue to support him and the government of Enugu State.
