RURAL HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME: AWGU SOUTH REP MEETS WITH COMMUNITIES PRESIDENT GENERAL IN HIS CONSTITUENCY

Hon.Anthony Nwankwo (Okwadike), the member representing Awgu South State Constituency through his foundation development scheme sets to introduce health insurance scheme to rural dwellers in his constituency.

At a meeting today with the President Generals of the various autonomous Communities in Awgu South to seek their collaboration and support for the implementation of the scheme,  He made elaborate emphasis on the need to have Awgu South rural dwellers registered under the scheme stating that it will help cushion the effect of high cost of accessing health care in the rural areas. 

He also noted  that the scheme is part of his campaign promises to facilitate access to adequate health care at low cost for the people of Awgu South. 

The leader of the council of community president generals in Awgu south. Chief Sir Okelu, in his remark, lauded hon.Anthony Nwankwo  for the initiative stating that it was first of it kind in the history of Awgu South. He went further to assure him of their readiness to partner with his team in ensuring that the various Communities dwellers have access to the scheme.

 Other president generals that spoke at the meeting also appreciated the health insurance initiative and promised to co-operate in facilitating the scheme in their various Communities.
